The Joe Torre Safe At Home Foundation is an amazing charitable organization dedicated to providing resources to children who are victims of domestic violence. In addition to providing "safe havens" for children to come to and receive counseling and a safe physical space to spend time at...they are educating the general public about the horrors and prevalence of abuse in the home. This charity represents both an opportunity to support wonderful & important work as well as the chance of a lifetime for a lifelong New York Yankee fan to meet and spend time with their heroes. The foundation gala which is held annually (the past few years at Chelsea Piers) rewards supporters of the charity with an amazing evening hosted by Bob Costas, dozens of "A" list celebrities and honors past Yankee teams.
