Every once in a while, I like to share a little bit about what makes me tick... It is always wild when i meet candidates who were expecting to meet a very different person. People have a perception of my personality, what I look like & are often very surprised. It is curious & flattering that candidates I meet have as many questions about me as they do about the career opportunities I am presenting. To further "paint a picture" - I will tell you I am a hard-core life long fan of HIP-HOP & RAP music. It dates back to The Sugar Hill Gang, LL Cool J, RUN-DMC, Tribe Called Quest, The Beastie Boys and other pioneers. REALITY CHECK TIME

The market continues to tighten and the number of new opportunities being called out for search are decreasing. This is due to HEADCOUNT - BUDGET ISSUES - NOT MEETING FORE CASTED GOALS & a host of other "stuff". HERE ARE SOME IMPORTANT FACTS TO NOTE WHEN CONDUCTING YOUR SEARCH: - being a "people-person" is NOT a SKILL - PowerPoint is one word with 2 capital Ps - marketing/advertising/fashion/beauty/creative ARE NOT THE SAME JOB/CAREER CATEGORIES - asking for a minimum of a 15K increase in base pay - because your friends told you that is what the market is paying is NOT reasonable - you should ALWAYS be BETTER in person than your resume may even suggest - however, your resume should NOT be so BASIC that it discourages employers from inviting you in to interview - spelling/grammar & descriptive bullets NEED to motivate - telling a Recruiter that you DRESS BETTER - BRING A RESUME - Have A BETTER ATTITUDE when you are in a "REAL" interview is NOT the
